BISSU has developed and launched the Education Contract Exceptions Reporting Tool (ECERT) in order for HEIW to assess whether trainees have been able to meet the requirements of their Education Contracts.
The system calculates a weekly average of the Contract criteria, and when these are not met, trainees can log this and give the reason. Trainees can also log any general problems experienced in a given week. In this way, HEIW can build up a picture of where and when Health Boards are not allowing their trainees to meet the requirements of their Education Contracts, as well as any other issues. Trainees can also use the information logged as a diary of their training. Reporting tools developed within the system also facilitate the production of stats.
The application has been configured so that it can be easily accessed on devices such as smartphones and tablets, thus enhancing its usability.
